Thinkathon

The Thinkathon is an original PACE - Monmouth event. It’s a team competition where each team visits five stations and engages in a game or puzzle trying to accummulate as many points as possible. Teams do not compete directly against each other, but try to perform better than the other teams at each station. The team that scores the most points across all the stations wins.

The set of stations varies somewhat from year to year. Examples of stations from past Thinkathons are

  • PACE Family Feud - This is a take-off of the popular TV game show Family Feud in which contestants try to guess the most popular answers to survey questions.
  • Murder Mystery - The team is given a series of clues and tries to deduce which character in the story committed the crime.
  • Rebus - Teams try to solve a series of these popular picture puzzles.

The events runs from 8:30 to 10:30 AM on an October Saturday in place of Eye-Opener and math. Engineering classes are held as usual.
